Job Description

Role Summary:
The OpenText Content Server / Archive Server Technical Architect will provide technical leadership for the upgrade of the City's OpenText Content Server and Archive Server platforms. This consultant will be responsible for architecture assessment, upgrade planning, technical design, installation oversight, migration support, and overall technical governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical architecture and upgrade planning activities for OpenText Content Server and Archive Server.
  • Assess current-state infrastructure, integrations, customizations, and system dependencies.
  • Develop upgrade strategies, technical designs, and implementation plans.
  • Provide guidance on installation, configuration, migration, and performance optimization.
  • Support environment planning, testing, deployment, and production readiness activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and application teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with OpenText Content Server and Archive Server administration and architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple OpenText platform upgrade projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenText architecture, integrations, security, and system administration.
  • Experience with migration planning, system performance tuning, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OpenText Extended ECM and related OpenText technologies.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or public sector environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP integrations and document management ecosystems.
